What if the Tenant has Insufficient Funds?

RentBook will do a balance check on their account before deducting money from their account. If there are not enough funds, the app will notify you under financials as well as receive a push notification. This prevents banks from giving landlords overdraft fees.

The tenant, however, will be charged $20.00 CAD whenever they have insufficient funds during a payment process.

When and NSF is detected, your AutoPay agreement will pause for you to communicate with the tenant before resuming the AutoPay Agreement. This helps prevent further penalty fees on the tenant.

What happens to the rent that is paused on the AutoPay agreement? 

If the tenant owes the landlord "X" months of rent and the AutoPay agreement is resumed, RentBook will initiate "X" separated debit payments from the tenant on "Resume". If this is not the desired resumption outcome, we suggest you deleting the AutoPay agreement and send a new one that represents the current financial situation.

There are no penalty fees in cancelling a AutoPay Agreement. You can create as much as you like.

How many bank accounts can RentBook Link Up?

The feature is currently under development but each landlord / tenant will be able to connect up to 3 bank accounts in the future.

Does my tenant need to download the App too?

Yes! Make sure both Landlord and Tenants downloads the App and signs up to use this app properly! Both parties must connect their bank account for us to facilitate payments between two parties.

What if I want to cancel my subscription?

We are happy to inform you that we are not subscription based! You pay us depending on your usage so you can manage your property as economically as possible.
